Ma’lum chet tilini o‘zlashtirish jarayonida, shubhasiz, ana shu tilning lug‘at tarkibi - unda mavjud bo‘lgan faol so‘zlar ro‘yhati bilan tanishish va o‘rganish talab etiladi. Ushbu maqolada xorijiy tillarni o‘rganish va o‘rgatishda lug‘at boyligini oshirish uchun keng foydalaniladigan usullar va ularning ahamiyati ilmiy tarzda yoritiladi. Xususan, tasodifiy va maqsadli lug‘at o‘zlashtirish o‘zaro taqqoslanib, ularning yozish, o‘qish, gapirish, tinglab tushunish ko‘nikmalariga bevosita ta’siri ochib beriladi.
