This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of using innovative approaches and interactive methods in the process of environmental education. In the modern education system, the formation of environmental culture, the enhancement of ecological awareness among the younger generation, and the development of responsible attitudes toward the environment are highlighted as urgent issues. The article reveals the significance of interactive methods such as “Brainstorming”, “case study”, “cluster”, “BBB”, “Insert”, “Fishbone diagram”, and “role-playing games” in improving the effectiveness of environmental education. In addition, the role of multimedia tools, digital platforms, environmental projects, environmental actions, and environmental trainings in the formation of students’ ecological competencies is scientifically substantiated.
