CHALLENGES IN TEACHING ENGLISH TO YOUNG LEARNERS

This article discusses the challenges faced in teaching English to junior learners. Teaching children requires specific approaches due to their short attention period, varying levels of motivation, and developing cognitive abilities. The study examines key difficulties such as maintaining students’ interest, managing classroom behaviors, and adapting teaching methods to suit various learning styles. It also highlights the importance of using interactive tasks, games, and visual materials to create an engaging learning environment. Additionally, the role of teachers in building confidence and encouraging participation among youth learners is emphasized. The article concludes that overcoming these challenges requires creativity, patience, and the use of age-appropriate teaching strategies to ensure effective language learning.
