This article explores the importance of learning English as a second language, the major challenges faced by ESL learners, and effective teaching and learning strategies. The study highlights linguistic and psychological barriers, including pronunciation difficulties, grammatical complexity, and learner anxiety. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the role of communicative language teaching, technology integration, and learner motivation in achieving successful language acquisition. The findings suggest that a supportive learning environment and continuous practice are key factors in developing communicative competence in English.
