Abstract

The study evaluates the impact of chloride and sulfate salinity on rice chlorophyll content (SPAD) and yield. Chloride salinity was found to be 1.2–1.5 times more toxic than sulfate. A decrease below 40 SPAD units was identified as a key indicator limiting productivity. The Gigant and Manzur varieties demonstrated high resilience and are recommended for saline soils.
