Abstract

This article investigates the effect of ultraviolet (UV) irradiation on the microbiological indicators of collagen materials. Since collagen-based materials are widely used in the food, medical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries, ensuring their microbiological safety is considered a highly relevant issue. UV irradiation, as a physical method, enables the reduction of microbial load, inactivation of pathogenic microflora, and extension of product shelf life. The article analyzes the mechanism of UV irradiation, microbiological indicators of collagen materials, and experimental results presented in tables and diagrams, along with a review of relevant literature.
