Reflection plays an essential role in the development of students’ writing skills because it enables learners to analyze their own writing processes, identify weaknesses, recognize achievements, and make informed decisions about future writing tasks. Writing is not simply a process of producing grammatically correct sentences; it involves planning, organizing ideas, selecting appropriate vocabulary, constructing coherent arguments, revising, editing, and evaluating the final product. Therefore, students need to develop the ability to reflect critically on each stage of the writing process. This thesis examines the importance of reflection in improving writing skills.
