COMPARATIVE STUDY OF COMPOUND AND COMPLEX SENTENCES IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

This scientific article analyzes the grammatical and stylistic features of compound and complex sentences in English and Uzbek. The structure of compound sentences in the two languages, the use of connecting means, the semantic functions of subordinate clauses, and syntactic similarities and differences were studied. Also, the harmonious aspects of the coordinate and subordinate clause units in English with the coordinated and subordinate clauses in Uzbek were explained based on examples.
