Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of the green economy on the economic development of Uzbekistan. It focuses on how the integration of sustainable and environmentally friendly economic practices supports long-term economic growth, improves resource efficiency, and ensures environmental protection. The study examines key sectors such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, energy efficiency, and ecological policy reforms that contribute to the development of a green economy in Uzbekistan.

The research highlights the influence of green economy strategies on macroeconomic stability, investment climate, industrial modernization, and innovation. It also discusses the role of government initiatives in promoting low-carbon development and aligning national economic policies with global sustainability standards.

Furthermore, the article identifies several challenges in implementing the green economy, including financial constraints, technological gaps, and the need for skilled professionals. Despite these limitations, the findings show that the green economy provides significant opportunities for economic diversification, job creation, and increased competitiveness in international markets.  The study suggests that the transition to a green economy has a positive and transformative impact on Uzbekistan’s economic development by balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability.
