Abstract

This article examines the role and effectiveness of using visual materials, particularly maps and infographics, in teaching history. The study highlights how visual tools help simplify complex historical information, making it more accessible and understandable for students. Special attention is given to the use of maps in developing spatial awareness and to infographics in presenting structured and concise information. The article also discusses the impact of visual materials on students’ engagement, motivation, and critical thinking skills. Furthermore, it explores the integration of digital technologies in enhancing visual learning in history education. The findings suggest that the effective use of visual materials significantly improves students’ comprehension and transforms the learning process into a more interactive and meaningful experience.
