75 children aged from 1 to 12 months were examined. life. During the period of minimal insolation, vitamin D deficiency was detected in more than half of young children (58.3%). Without drug prevention of hypovitaminosis D, the level of 25(OH)D in the blood serum of infants was 8.7 (6.3 - 14.8) ng/ml, which was significantly higher than with artificial feeding, a low level of 24.55 (19.0 - 32.0) ng/ml. ml. It has been established that taking cholecalciferol preparations in a prophylactic dose (500-1500 IU per day) significantly increases the supply of vitamin D to children, regardless of the nature of the diet.
